He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Akerson Kalankiewicz; his son John; his parents, Walter and Alexandria; and his brothers, Chester, Edward, Anthony and Alexander.
He is survived by: his sister Alice; his daughter Sheila; his son-in-law Charles; his daughter Sharon; his grandchildren, Melanie, John (Dana), Charles and Michael; his great grandchildren, Brianna, Connor, Anthony, Adam, Kaitlyn, John, Alyssa and Gianna; and his great great grandchildren, Audriana and Connor Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
