She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Featherman and Genevieve Featherman (Strouse); and her daughters, Paula C. Shiffler-Arneil and Lisa Shiffler-Benasutti. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Shiffler; and her children, Silas Shiffler (Kim) of Moscow and Terri Evans (Robert) of Spiceland, Indiana. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; her 4 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to GMVC Residents' Welfare Fund, 401 Penn Ave, Scranton, Pa 18503, to benefit the residents of the Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center.
