He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Hilyard and Alice Hilyard (Phillips); and his sister Carole Hilyard Torpy. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy A. Hilyard (Singer); his children, Douglas W. Hilyard (Tessa) of Hanover and Gretchen Hilyard Boyce (Chris) of Colfax, CA.; his grandchildren, Ryan and Mallory Hilyard; and his siblings-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Torpy of Virginia and Sheila Silver of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to make donations in his memory to the Zion United Church of Christ, 14 North 8th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
