She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Paul and Jean Paul (Nevius); and her sister Janet Nickelson. She is survived by: her husband James H. Detrick, Jr.; her sons, James Detrick, III (Susan) and Evan Detrick (Kelly); her brothers, Donald Paul (Grace) and Robert Paul; and her grandchildren, Abby Detrick, Ian Detrick (Audra) and Thomas Detrick.
