It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Barnes (East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on September 10, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Barnes and Emma Jean Barnes (Smith); his son Jarvis; his brothers, Havril Lavard Barnes, Lloyd Gregory Barnes and Raymond Dexter Barnes; and his brother-in-law James McCormick.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Barnes (Guerrero); his children, Kendall, Terrance, David, Jessica, Tracey and Alexandra; his siblings, Harry Barnes Jr. (Etta) of Fayetteville, NC, Henaro Barnes (Brenda) of Sanford, NC, Andrea Barnes (Pam), Michael Barnes (Mildred), Anthony Barnes (Ana), Jackie Summerfield of Island Park, NY, Barbara Jean McCormick of Spring Hill, FL, Lorna Barnes-Wilkins (Bernard) of Aberdeen, NC and Melody Barnes; and his grandson Ajani Zion McGill.
