He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Fox (Tribal) and Harry Fox; his son Alton Jr.; his sister Jean (Bob White); and his brother-in-law Chet Cramer.

He is survived by: his wife Verna Fox; his son Harry Fox (Debbie Cicconi); and his siblings-in-law, Francis Fish, Leonard Cramer and Fred "Bud" (Rose Cramer).
