She was predeceased by: her parent John R. Gilbert; her husband Roy A. Shenk; her daughter Kathleen Cox; her sister Grace Hill; and her great grandchild Cody Lambert.
She is survived by: her parent Beatrice E. Gilbert (Trimble); her children, Susan Morgan (Kenneth), Sharon Charles and Eugene Cox; and her sister Mary Gohn. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
