He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kalkbrenner and Mathilda Kalkbrenner; his wife Helen Kalkbrenner; his son Gary; his grandson Michael Abel; and his sister Laverne Little.
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Abel (Dave) and Adorin; his grandchildren, Matthew Abel, Sara Forsythe (Allen), Ranae Kalkbrenner, Dustin Kalkbrenner (Amber) and Micheal Abel; his great grandchildren, Grace, Braelynn, Brody, Benjamin, Levi and Melody; and his brothers, Ralph and Ray Kalkbrenner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
