He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Dodson and Edna Dodson (Burket); his wife Mary Lou Hengst; his daughter Beth Ann Mellott; and his sister Ella Marie.
He is survived by: his children, Alan D. Dodson (Mary) of Altoona and Debbie Scordo (Chris) of Duncansville; his grandchildren, Alan Dean Dodson (Miranda), Katlyn Ross (Andrew), Nathan Scordo and Lucas Scordo (Allison); his great grandchildren, Hattie and Norrie Dodson; his sister Connie Hoover of Roaring Spring; and his close friend Nancy Claycomb.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home (810 Bedford St, Claysburg, PA 16625). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church (1200 4th Ave, Duncansville, PA 16635).
