It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet E. Thomas of East Freedom, Pennsylvania, born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Eugene Russell and Ruth Russell-Guyer (Kifer). She is survived by: her spouse Thomas T. Thomas; her daughters, Diane Hazenstab (Michael) of East Freedom, PA and Lori (Matthew McGhee); her grandchildren, Keirsten Leach (Marshal) and Oaklee Brode (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Oaklynn Leach, Irelynn Leach, Lennon Brode, Rahlee Leach and Bayne Brode; and her stepbrother Paul Guyer, Jr. (Bonnie) of James Creek, PA..

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Akers Funeral Chapel (715 Church St, Saxton, PA 16678). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
