He was predeceased by: his wife Judy M. Greene Otto; his parents, John Otto and Mildred Newcomer Otto; his son Thomas M. Otto, Jr.; and his granddaughter Julia Otto.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig A. Otto of Wrightsville and John R. Otto of Wrightsville; and his brother John Otto (Ella). He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
