He is survived by: his children, Elva Jane (Lawrence Hoover), Charles Ray (Mabel Burkholder), Jonas Ralph (Arlene Burkholder) and James Edward (Diane Burkholder) of Reinholds; his stepchildren, Mark L, Linda J. (Nelson Reiff) of New Enterprise and Evelyn (Elvin Martin) of East Earl; his siblings, Paul Burkholder, Elmer (Mary Burkholder), Sarah Brubacher, Esther and Elsie Burkholder; and his siblings-in-law, Emma Burkholder and John Jacob Zimmerman. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 40 step grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren, 19 step great grandchildren.
