She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde W. Martin; her parents, Jonathan Shirk and Elizabeth Shirk (Martin); and her siblings, Helen Shirk, Elizabeth Diffenderfer, Grace Sauder and John Shirk.

She is survived by: her children, Nelson (Susan), Linda (Jay Good) of Sparta, MO, LaVern (Beth), Karen (Dennis Stoner) and Clifford (Holly). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
