It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jay Cookerly (East Berlin, Pennsylvania), born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Cookerly and Jean Cookerly (Hoover); and his brother Fred Cookerly. He is survived by : his close friend Vivien Cookerly; his children, Troy J. Cookerly of East Berlin and Prudi L. Showers (Jeff) of Gardners; his grandson Colby K. Showers of Gardners; and his siblings, Thomas Cookerly of Hanover, Michael Cookerly of East Berlin, John Cookerly of New Oxford, Donna Oberlander of Hanover and Deb Quibell.
