He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce E. Hippensteel (Zeigler); his parents, Charles Hippensteel and Estella Hippensteel (Becker); his siblings, Dorothy Surrency, Delores Rinehart, Ruth Shrader, Charles Hippensteel, Jr., Lloyd Hippensteel and Ted Hippensteel; and his brother-in-law Kermit Zeigler.
He is survived by: his children, Donald H. Hippensteel, Jr. of East Berlin, Barry L. Hippensteel of East Berlin and Kathy M. Hippensteel of East Berlin; and his siblings, Hazel Baker of Hanover, Jean Treadway of Hanover and Steve Hippensteel of New Oxford.
