He was predeceased by: his wife Goldie E. Caldwell (Grim); his parents, John R. E. and Grace Caldwell (Ensor); his son Burnell K. Caldwell, Jr.; and his sisters, Ruth Miller, Mildred Stambaugh and Betty Kessler.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie K. Vogel (Thomas) of Hanover, Barry K. Caldwell (Rebecca) of York, Barbara K. Caldwell (John R. Hall) of Spring Grove, Buffy K. Kunkel of East Berlin and Bradley K. Caldwell of East Berlin; his grandchildren, Steven K. Vogel, Jeffrey P. Vogel, Joseph R. Vogel, Alexis N. Caldwell, Nikki L. Crouse, Thomas B. Kunkel, Brian T. Kunkel, Austin S. Caldwell, McKenna N. Caldwell and Kamryn K. Caldwell; his great grandchildren, Gavin Kunkel, Crixus Kunkel, Carter Eckert and Ja'niyah Caldwell; his brother Jack Caldwell; and his daughter-in-law Marian Caldwell of Florida.
