She was predeceased by : her husband Kenneth R. Messinger; her parents, Ralph J. Markel and Lucy Markel (Ream); and her siblings, Edward Markel, Helen Linebaugh, Gladys Nichol, Ruby Thoman and Mary Amspacher.
She is survived by : her children, Stephen A. Messinger (Linda) of Hanover and Cynthia A. Messersmith (Richard) of Spring Grove; and her granddaughters, Katie, Angela, Nicole, Kristin and Alison. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
