It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George A. Smith Jr. of Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 4, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Amos Smith and Harriet Smith (Houseknecht) of Eagles Mere; his wife Florence B. Smith; his sons, George A. Smith III and John S. Smith; his sister Dixie Schrader; and his grandson Drew Taylor.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Carolyn B. Taylor (Edward) of Picture Rocks, Margaret A. Blackwell of Montoursville and Jeannine R. Richlin (Mark) of Dushore; and his sisters, Elaine Mudrick of Eagles Mere, Carol Bigger of Selinsgrove and Rhoda Johnson (Dan) of Newmanstown, PA.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
