He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. "Jack" and Stella T. McDonald (Lech); his wife Linda L. Karge; and his brothers, James and Eugene McDonald.

He is survived by: his brothers, Thomas McDonald of Dushore and Joseph McDonald of Dushore; and his grandchildren, Kierstin Klingler and Cameron Klingler.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the Sullivan County Library or a charity of one's choice.
