He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Hoodak and Sophie Vanesko Hoodak; his siblings, Nicholas, Stephen, Leonard, David, Marion and Margaret; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Taffe, Raymond Lewis, Eugene Weisbrod, John Charniski, Rose Gregori, Susan Lewis, Mary Hoodak and Shirley Taffe.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Taffe; his children, James Hoodak (Monica) of Wyalusing, PA., Mary Lawhon (Dewayne) of Plant City, FL., Jeff and John Hoodak of Dushore, PA; his siblings, Gloria Weisbrod of Lopez, Helen Silver (Joseph) of Carlisle, PA and Gordon Hoodak (Sandy) of Reading, PA.; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicholas and Alesha Lawhon; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Taffe (Mary) of Dushore, PA, Michael Gregori of Dushore, PA and Catherine Charniski of Mildred, PA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

John Hoodak of Dushore died Monday, September 14, 2020 at home after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
