He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy W. Askew and Evelyn Askew (Puff); his siblings, Bobby Askew, Kenny Askew, Wesley Askew, Jimmy Askew, Doris Meyers and Joan Haas; and his grandchildren, Nancy Kingston and Daniel Mosier.
He is survived by: his children, Judy E. Kingston (Dale) of Mehoopany, Tammy J. Weakland (Danny) of Dushore, Lynn K. Grippo (Tom) of Towanda, Chrissy J. Askew Harvey of Sugar Run, Carrie B. Myers (Bruce Stankis) of Mehoopany, April M. Jayne (Mike) and Walter F. Askew (Lucianna) of New Albany. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
