She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Snyder and J. Ellen Snyder (Painton); her son Richard Bender Jr.; her son-in-law Rick Thorne; her granddaughter Jennifer Gerstemeier; and her stepgrandson Jason Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, David Bender (Sally) of Dushore, Joan Thorne (Rick) of Athens, Connie Bender of Dushore and Julie Chamberlin (Brett) of Dushore; her grandchildren, Shawna Chamberlin (Mike), Amanda Shipman (Harry), Patrick Bacorn (Amber) and Matthew Ricci (Lea); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Delilha Bacorn, Kelsey, Riley Christianson, Raelyn, Kenric, Kamden Ricci, Annalise and Alex Thorne.
