He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Kopcho and Theresa Pacolak Kopcho; and his siblings, Louis, Andrew, Michael, John, William, Joseph, Mary Sapolis, Helen Killino, Theresa Fortunato, Eleanor Kupcho and Julia.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Szymczak; his daughter Diane Vivalda (Chris) of Duryea His; his granddaughter Nicole Vivalda of Duryea; his daughter Janet Kopcho of Pittston; and his sisters, Anna Ostroski of Falls and Margaret Arcarola of Brooklyn.
