He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Ann Kohut (Spencer); his wife Nancy Malinics Kohut; his son Michael Warren Kohut, Jr.; and his brother Bernard Kohut.
He is survived by: his son Matthew Kohut of Duryea; his grandsons, Michael Kohut and Brian Kohut; his close friend Margaret Timlin of Avoca; and his siblings, Florence "Cookie" Hogan of Lakeland, FL., Stephen Kohut of Scranton, Lewis Kohut of Scranton, Charlotte Cadwell of Scranton, Dorothy Quinnan of Scranton and Marie Karalavage of Scranton.
