With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. McGinnis Sr. of Duryea, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michael's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McGinnis and Edna McGinnis (Jones). He is survived by: his wife Joan Odzana McGinnis; his sons, Michael Jr., Martin of Glen Lyon and Chad of Arizona; his brothers, Edward (Dorothy) of New Jersey and Steven (Mary) of Mountain Top; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Bryn and Tori. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc. (255 McAlpine St, Duryea, PA 18642). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
