He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hanczyc and Anna Lukasik Hanczyc; his former wife Marcella Polaski; his wife Lois Coolbaugh; and his siblings, William, Theodore Hanczyc, Mary Chilson and Pauline Paoli.
He is survived by: his children, Professor Martin Hanczyc of Trento, Italy, Dr. Nestor (Mara) and Alice Blake (Robert) of Avoca; his grandchildren, Austin Killino and Isabella; and his siblings, Thomas Hanczyc (Barbara) of Newark, Delaware and Elizabeth Lizak of Dupont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary School, 125 Stephenson Street, Duryea.
