He was predeceased by: his parents, James Long and Lillian Long (Giehl). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Long (Williams); his daughter Michele; his granddaughter Madeline; his sister-in-law Doris Goula; his nephews, Joseph and Richard; his cousin Joseph Long of Old Forge; his sister Diane Giehl of Scranton; and his close friends, Jeff Best, Lynn Davis, James Barret Sr., Norm Silvinski and Dave Barton.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc. (255 McAlpine St, Duryea, PA 18642). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church (205 N Main St, Pittston, PA 18640).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
