With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elizabeth M. Shimo of Duryea, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elizabeth left this world on January 23, 2025 at the age of 71, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Lambert; her parents, Francis A. Shimo and Mary Dorothy Butler Shimo; and her brothers, James and Patrick.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jack (Donna), Peggy Evanitsky, Joan Klein (David), Frank (Carol) and Mary Rose Daniels (Paul); her sisters-in-law, Tina and Pam; and her pet Ruby Rose. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish (312 Davis St, Scranton, PA 18505). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
