She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donald Space and Dawn Barber (Kelly); her niece Jessica; her husband William J. Sweeney; her daughters, Hannah (Gabriella Sweeney) and Duryea; her stepson Justin Sweeney; her siblings, Karen Barber, Frank Barber, Luzerne Barber and James Barber; and her grandmother Catherine DeRemer. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
