Cynthia Yurkanin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2025, Cynthia Yurkanin of Duryea, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Yurkanin Jr.; her son John A. Yurkanin; and her siblings, Thomas Moluski, Jean Ambrosavage, Esther Butrim and Carol Wolczak.
She is survived by: her daughter Lori Wasik (Matthew) of Duryea; her grandchildren, Timothy Williams (Alisea) and Nicole Grochal (Nicholas); her great grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Mackynzie Grochal, John and Nathan Williams; and her sister Patricia Gubbiotti of Laflin.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church (205 N Main St, Pittston, PA 18640).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Keystone Mission, 8 West Olive Street, Scranton, PA 18508.
