He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his sons, Dr. Leonard Nitowski (Dianne Balkaran) of Wilmington, DE. and Bernard Nitowski Jr. (Jane) of Duryea; his grandchildren, Frankie Carmadella, Tara Martin (Mackenzie "Mack" Amanda), Alex Nitowski, Jenna Nitowski Luu (Philip Luu), Diana Nitowski and Laura Nitowski (Berkley Dietvorst); and his great grandchild Archibald "Archie" Martin.
