She was predeceased by: her parents, George Karsko and Josephine Mitchell Karsko; her husband Charles "Bud" Shinert; her daughter Leslie Shinert; and her brothers, George, John and James Karsko.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Shinert of Glendale, Laurie Blasi (Chris) of Honesdale and Karen Katchmar (Chris) of Old Forge; her grandchildren, Alexandra Shinert, Meghan Shinert, Nichole Blasi, Michael Blasi, Amanda Katchmar and Ashley Katchmar; and her sister Irene Pierce of Allentown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18510.
