He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Hinds Reap; his siblings, Thomas, Betty, Jack, Dorothy, Paul and Robert; his daughter-in-law Dawn Bowling; his sons, Steven Bowling, Alan Reap of Etters, PA and Bruce Reap (Marion) of Pittston; his grandchildren, Alyssa Reap, Christina Scott, Briana Hughes and Amanda Amos; his great grandchildren, Beckett Scott, Winrey Scott and Madilyn Hughes; and his siblings, Carol Sokolowski of Duryea and William Reap (Kathy) of Avoca.
