She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bitkowski and Stella Bitkowski (Mikrut); her spouse Francis W. "Braz" Breznay; her children, Cindy Salopek (late Duane P.) and Stephen Breznay; her grandson Neil Salopek; and her brother John "Mooney" Bitkowski (late Bernice).
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Nicole Salopek (Brandon Nathan) of Elizabeth and Melissa Tempel (Tom) of Huntsville, AL; her great grandchildren, Lia, Adilee Salopek, Olivia McMillan, Braelynn Tempel, Jace Nathan, Dash Nathan and Cam Nathan; and her sister Dolores Getner (late Steve) of Butler, PA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home (915 Kennedy Ave, Duquesne, PA 15110). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, Inc. (915 Kennedy Ave, Duquesne, PA 15110). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (529 Grant Ave Ext, West Mifflin, PA 15122). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
