He was predeceased by: his son David Frederick Long; his siblings, Mary "Sis" Stewart, Hannah "Noonie" Thomas, Patricia Bornyas and Major John A. Long; and his parents-in-law, John and Brenda Connor of West Mifflin, PA..
He is survived by: his wife Jane Elizabeth Long (Connor); his daughter Dianna Long; his children-in-law, Frank Pescatore (Brian Long) of Penn Township and Karen Long of Washington's Crossing; his grandchildren, Jessica Gabbert (Charles), Ryan Long (Sarah), Jillian Long, Rebecca Long, Cassandra Long, Katie Rentz, Bria Long, Michael Long, Connor Long and Charlotte Long; his great grandchildren, Nora and Riley Gabbert; his parents, Francis P. (Red) and Henrietta (Weir); his sister Louise; his brother-in-law Ken Peairs of Duquesne; his brother Robert Long of Elizabeth; and his parents-in-law, Lee "General Lee" Bowden of Defiance, Daniel, Mary Connor of Union City, Susan and Tom Johnson of Normalville, PA. He is also survived by 37 nieces and nephews and has many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
