He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Amico Burke; and his sisters, Ann Burke of Dickson City and Elizabeth Burke Wanagaitis of Far Rockaway, NY.. He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth Brown (Clair) of Wilmington, NC and Andrew M. Burke of Tunkhannock; and his close friend Joan Hrycow of West Scranton. He is also survived by seven nieces, one nephew, as well as several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Robert's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
