He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Joseph Scannella and Helen Yesu Scannella Mecca; and his stepparent Dominick Mecca. He is survived by: his wife Joan Mallas; his children, Samuel (Marie) of Harrisburg, Jacqueline (David Cochrane) of Clarks Summit and Thomas (Robin) of Dillsburg; his sister Arline; his brother-in-law John Daffaro of Scranton; and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Melissa, Kirsten, Justin, Samantha Scannella, David and Yelena Cochrane. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
