He was predeceased by: his parents, John Aloysius and Ruth Edwards Murphy; his brother Cornelius; and his brother-in-law Leo Conway (Jane). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Marie (Conway); his daughters, Jeanne Rolen (Andy) of Glenmoore, PA and Maureen Murphy King; and his son-in-law Chris King. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore, PA or The Dunmore High School Class of 1987 Memorial Scholarship (in memory of John Murphy, Jr., Joseph DiPietro and John Pica).
