We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2020, at the age of 80, Francis Comparetta (Dunmore, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernard Comparetta and Anna Tielli Comparetta; his wife Barbara; his son David; his close friend Dorothy Derbin; his son Michael (Dawn); his brother-in-law Terra Shimkus; and his grandchildren, Cullen, Candace, Emily and Brian. He was also cherished by numerous cousins and many close friends.

Francis T. "Barney" Comparetta, son of Bernard and Anna Tielli Comparetta, died Wednesday afternoon from complications of Covid-19 at age 80.

Later this same graceful balance and footwork became the foundation of Barney's love of dancing.
