Joy Alice Shearer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Alice Shearer of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, born in Newport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 4, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Howell, Sr. and Lillian Howell (Shotzberger); her daughter Laurel G. Shearer; and her siblings, Henry Howell, Jr., Charles Howell, Patsy Tidd and Mary Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Clark A. Shearer (Marlene) of Duncannon and Ruth Bretzman (Michael) of Mechanicsburg; and her siblings, John Howell of Duncannon and Christine Kriner of Carlisle. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with current health guidelines, attendees are encouraged to exercise proper precautions including the wearing of face coverings and appropriate social distancing.
