He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest R. Nye, Sr. and Lillian M. Nye (Attinger); and his sisters, Lucille Mumma and Susan Dick. He is survived by: his close friend Raye Anne Shatto; his children, Kristy Kissinger (Matthew), Shane Nye (Amanda) and Lindsay Nye (Alex); his sister Nancy Furjanic (John "Jack"); his brother-in-law Charles "Butch" Dick; and his grandchildren, Rhianan Knuth and Brynlee Nye. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
