He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin Eugene and Mildred Pauline Matter (Holtzman); and his brother Richard Matter. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa McNaughton; his grandson Dylan Matter (Christa); and his siblings, Kim Matter (Deb), Jim Matter (Helen) and Janet Ring (Dennis) of Halifax. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
