Eugene Keith Darnell Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Keith Darnell Jr. of Dunbar, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Keith "Hawkie" Darnell, Sr.; his grandparents, Donald, Doris Quinlan, Eugene and Ruth "Fuzz" Crayton; and his uncles, Donald Sines and Michael Quinlan.
He is survived by: his mother Kimberly A. Darnell (Bruce Johnson); his son Ethan Darnell of Hopwood; his sister Elisha Darnell of New Eagle; his nephews, Trey Darnell of Dunbar and Jais Darnell of New Eagle; his aunts and uncles, Mary Pat Sines of Dunbar, Sandy Cooper of Lemont Furnace, Tammy Crayton of Farmington, Larry, Betty Darnell of McClellandtown and Donnie Quinlan of Dunbar; and his close friends, Cassidy Dickey of College Park, MD, Jeff Thomas of Brownsville, Erin Paul of Uniontown and Kristy Unice of Uniontown. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc. (418 Pittsburgh St, Connellsville, PA 15425). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery (363 Pechin Rd, Dunbar, PA 15431).
Hawkie's final act of kindness was to give the Gift of Life to others by donating his organs, having already saved and helped one individual and his gift is expected to help several others.
