He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Paul Brooks and Coriena Brooks (Bryner); his grandson Joshua Allen Leyda; his siblings, Harry Brooks, Leslie Brooks, Asa Brooks, Herbert Brooks, Paul Brooks, Allen Brooks, Albert Brooks, Shirley Laporte and Alice Brooks; and his son-in-law William Brenneman.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Brenneman, Coriena Mckinney (Michael), Angie Gray (Gary), Margaret Brooks, David Brooks, Kelly Brooks, Magan Brooks, Harry Brooks and April Brooks (Wayne Fuller); and his siblings, Sylvia Ellsworth, Resa Hixson, Olive Phelan, Melba Plesz and Ronald Brooks. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
