Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Virginia Slate of Dudley, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 86, on October 21, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli DeLuca and Josephine DeLuca (Salvaggio); her son John Michael Slate; and her siblings, Emma Miller and Charles DeLuca.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Baker (Steve) of Lewes, DE and Tammy Hockenbrock (Scott) of Eagleville, PA; her grandchildren, Shawn Scott, Dana Baker, Dannielle Wilson, Steve Baker, Kimberly Tiegs, Dan Hockenbrock, John Michael Slate and Joshua Slate; and her siblings, Joanne Taylor of York, Jim DeLuca of Saxton and Don DeLuca of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association or to Cancer Research.
