He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" and Ruth Calvert Sr. (Betton); his wife Verda Aleen Reasinger; his brother Ronald Calvert; and his son Brad Calvert.

He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Peterson (Gary); his grandchildren, Ashley Carr (Adam), Erika Checchio and Garret Peterson (Leya); and his great grandchildren, Axton, Zoren, Valla Carr, Maddox and Carson Checchio.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
