He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. II and Helen Whitaker II (Patterson); his sister Ethel Ann Mason; and his grandsons, Richard Whitaker and Derek Whitaker.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Whitaker (Bundy); his children, David Whitaker (Tammy), Richard Whitaker (Deborah) and Cindy Ehenger (Joe); and his grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Hiliary, Dave, Drew, Erin, Ashton and Landon. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
