She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Maddox and Eloise Maddox (Mathews); her husband Joe Atkinson; her grandson Alex Walker; and her brothers, Freddy and Jimmy Hugh Maddox.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Walker (Karen) of Chambersburg, PA and Wil-Gravatt of Fredericksburg, VA; and her sisters, Janice Carringer of Brasstown, NC and Diana Maddox Wilcox of Atlanta, GA.. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
