He was predeceased by: his parents, Merman Roy Ervin and Amelia Ervin (Hilliard); and his siblings, Myron, Robert, Arvilla Ernhart, Marion Grushefsky, Alice Hinkle and Ruth Viscount.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Bognet (Joseph Bognet, Allentown) and William J. Ervin (Nancy); his sister Berdene Ondishin of Hazleton; and his granddaughter Kaia Leigh Bognet.
