James Harris Rittenhouse Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harris Rittenhouse of Drums, Pennsylvania, born in Freeland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rittenhouse and Elizabeth Rittenhouse (Harris); and his siblings, John Rittenhouse, Laura Rittenhouse and Mildred Eckrote.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Rittenhouse (Mitchko) of Drums; and his nieces and nephews, Earlene Potucek (Steve) of Freeland, Tanya Bombicca of Drums, Brenda Tomaino (Wayne) of Sugarloaf, Lori Maslo of Drums, John Stefanik (Jennifer) of Freeland and Ryan Mitchko (Svetlana) of Metuchen, NJ.
Because of Jim's love for animals, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory can be made to the Hazleton Animal Shelter, PO Box 481 Hazleton, PA 18201.
